What's going with the 100 item challenge?

You may have noticed that the posts for the Making 100 Items Challenge have stopped. The reason for this is that I ended up getting a job outside the house. Owning a small business is hard! I've earned more in the last month than I have all year with selling dolls clothes. And I'm only working a part-time job. You'd think with just a part-time job I would be able to continue making dolls clothes, but working outside the home has been quite an adjustment for me.

I started making and selling dolls clothes just to try and add a little bit extra money to our household income, but really what has happened is I've spent quite a lot of money on fabric and other things like Velcro. And I've spent an awful lot of money on dolls and other doll accessories. Hosting this website cost money too, and quite a lot of time because it is the first website I have ever made. I have made enough money this year to pay off the cost of the website and the fabric I bought, but in terms of actually contributing money to the household bills etc, the amount has been negligible.

I feel quite disappointed that I haven't been able to make this work, but I'm still going to keep going. I have lots of stock to sell still, tons of fabric to sew into outfits and more doll review blog posts to publish. I will just have to adjust and find little pockets of time to sew things. I have cut a few things out and I plan to cut some more things out today. If I have piles of things cut and ready to sew then I can just pick them up when I have time. I still think I can eventually become successful with my dolls clothes business and then I can stop working and do it full time. Wish me luck!
