Minikane Summer!

Since the Minikane dolls don't come with any clothing, mine were always sitting around looking cold. I decided I'd make them all a summer outfit each and one for my larger Miniland doll.

Gabrielle is wearing a cute rabbit print dress with a ruffle. The print is probably too large for a small doll's dress but I think it looks pretty cute. I paired it with a spotted lemon hairband.

Eliza, my Miniland doll, is also wearing a dress with ruffles made from a sweet pink floral polycotton. I made her a matching hairband.

Mai Ly is wearing a pair of short dungarees with ruffles added to the bib. Her outfit was actually one of the last ones I made and I decided I wanted them all (except Gabrielle and Eliza) to look kind of matching, so this spotted fabric had a little bit of each colour from the other fabrics in it.

Koko is wearing the same ruffled bib overalls but in a red and yellow floral fabric.

I made the same overalls again but without the ruffles so they were suitable for boy dolls. Rai's are blue gingham and Kofi's have a sailing boat print.

The bib of Nia's yellow gingham outfit is the same as the short dungarees but instead of shorts it has a skirt.

Here are all of the coordinating outfits together. I think they have a nice fresh summery feel to them!

Here are my twin dolls together in their outfits. I don't think Kofi and Nia's outfits match together as well as Rai and Koko's.

This was a really fun project and the outfits came together quickly, even the dresses with the ruffles which I originally thought would be quite time consuming. I will definitely be making some more of these outfits for the shop in the future. We only have a little bit of summer left here in Scotland so I think all the Minikane dolls will be needing a new autumn/winter outfit next!
