Turquoise stretch denim dungarees

These cute dungarees are made from turquoise stretch denim. Just like real dungarees, they have patch pockets on the back and on the front bib and they are accented with contrasting top-stitching in a traditional yellow colour. The front pockets are also real pockets, although they are not very deep. The lining of the straps and inside facing are made from a bee print polycotton fabric and the dungarees fasten with plastic snaps

The overalls have a very roomy fit so they can be worn over a disposable nappy and a bulky knitted jumper. The bottoms of the legs are not hemmed. I intended the dungarees to be worn with the cuffs double turned up, that way they can be adjusted to fit different dolls. Baby Born Big Sister and Brother dolls have slightly longer legs than the Baby Born baby dolls. If you want to hem them you could use some iron on hem tape (also sometimes called hemming web tape) once you have figured out the perfect fit for your doll. 

These classic dungarees are great for all-year-round wear. Wear them in spring over a long sleeved t-shirt, wear in summer over a short-sleeved t-shirt and add a sun hat. They could even be worn on their own on very hot days. Add a cardigan or zip up hoodie for autumn and wear over a knitted Christmas jumper for winter time!
